Our Philosophy

Win to Succeed is an executive strategy practice led by Tyrone Auston, helping trades business owners strengthen their leadership, understand their business performance, and turn their potential into purposeful growth.

Our clients know their craft. They have earned their experience in the field. As their businesses develop, they face decisions that demand a different set of skills: managing money, leading people, setting priorities, and creating a company that can function beyond their personal effort.

Tyrone works alongside owners to develop those skills, bring clarity to their decisions, and challenge the self-imposed ceilings that shape what they believe is possible.

  • “The ceiling I have accepted is a limit I can challenge.”

  • “My starting point does not define my future.”

  • “Winning is a result. Success is a practice.”

  • “I measure progress by the people I elevate.”

  • “Effort builds fast. Design builds far.”

Why trades ownersbuild with us

Winning is a result.Success is a practice.

We pursue tangible business wins: stronger margins, better execution, capable teams, and greater opportunity. We also believe lasting success comes from developing the person responsible for those results.

That means looking inward with honesty and looking at the business with discipline.

Focus
Winning
The scoreboard, a prize, beating an opponent.
Success
Growth, effort, fulfilling your potential.
Control
Winning
Depends on factors you cannot control.
Success
Relies entirely on your preparation and effort.
Duration
Winning
A temporary event.
Success
A continuous, lifelong journey.
Validation
Winning
Needs judges to proclaim you first.
Success
An internal sense of self-satisfaction.

Success is peace of mind that comes from knowing you made the effort to do the best of which you are capable. Never try to be better than someone else. Be the best you can possibly be — and you can lose on the scoreboard and still succeed.

The Approach

Intuition deserves attention.Numbers deserve examination.

Experience becomes more valuable when we reflect on it, test our assumptions, and use what we learn to make better decisions.

We cannot control every outcome. We can strengthen our preparation, judgment, effort, and response.

At Win to Succeed, personal growth and business performance advance together.

The Approach

Three moves. One owner who leads differently.

See Clearly

Understand yourself. Understand your business.

We examine the owner’s goals alongside the company’s financial performance, job economics, operations, team responsibilities, and customer pipeline.

We explore the assumptions influencing decisions — including beliefs about capacity, worth, leadership, and growth.

The result: A clear picture of the business, its constraints, and its most meaningful opportunities.

Business Clarity Assessment

Choose With Purpose

Turn understanding into direction.

We identify the decisions that matter most, establish priorities, and define what progress should look like.

The owner develops a practical strategy grounded in business realities and aligned with the future they want to build.

The result: A focused action plan with responsibilities, measures, and a review cadence.

Executive Strategy Partnership

Lead Through Action

Build the habits that make progress repeatable.

Through ongoing executive strategy sessions, we review results, work through decisions, address obstacles, and strengthen the owner’s ability to lead.

The plan evolves as the business changes. Accountability keeps it moving.

The result: More deliberate leadership, clearer team expectations, and consistent follow-through.

Tyrone’s Role

He connects what the numbers revealwith how the owner thinks, decides, and leads.

Tyrone brings an attentive ear, a practical understanding of business performance, and a commitment to helping people recognize their own potential. His work gives clients a clearer view of their circumstances and helps them develop the confidence to act on that understanding.

He earned that understanding the hard way. Born in Los Angeles to a Belizean immigrant mother and a truck-driving father from Louisiana, he took a “few days” of work as an electrical apprentice for his uncle and never looked back. He went on to found and run a licensed electrical and general contracting company in Inglewood for fifteen years, then built Trinity Contracting Concepts, Inc., where he learned the lesson that now anchors his practice: effort builds fast, design builds far.

Today he sits on the board of the National Association of Minority Contractors, Southern California chapter, as a contractor development advisor, and has facilitated business-capacity programs for emerging and established contractors across the state. He trained directly under Bob Proctor as a Thinking Into Results consultant, which gave him the language for what the field had already taught him.

The goal is a business owner who becomes increasingly capable of making sound decisions and leading with purpose.
